Amanda Brugel

(February 27th, 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a secluded community in the part of Montreal that is known as the West Island. People who don't understand about the place mistakenly think that the West Island extends westward from Montreal. In fact this is not the case. West Island includes everything westward of the city of Lachine. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on West Island. However, it's not the case. Brugel was raised in Courtice close to Oshawa the city of Ontario. She was determined to be a professional dancer, but due to an explosive increase in her height, she outgrew every dance partner she met. A Toronto Star article revealed she's 6 feet 1 inch tall and has heels. After I surpassed my male counterparts at that point, I gave up. Bruce was among the former dancers who shifted to acting. The teacher she had at high school was what pushed her in the right direction. Teacher who recommended she try getting a part in the the school's annual show. The school's production was a success and she was selected to play the lead character for Anne of Green Gables after she auditioned for. The show was granted a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to go to York University's Theatre Program and graduated from the program in 2000, earning a Bachelor's of Fine Arts. Over the last 20 years, Brugel's work been seen on both the small and large screen. Her work gained most fame when she was offered the role as Rita in the award-winning television series The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the only Canadian cast member for the season 1 of the series, and only appeared on occasion.
